Don't forget this part of the day also deserves to be captured.
You may not realize it now, but yes you will probably wish the getting ready part of the day should have been captured. The morning is often such a special time, chaotic yes sometimes, but its also the perfect time to grab those detail shots, flat lay's, and so many candid moments.
The morning of a wedding is filled with much more then the actual getting ready- it's where some of the most genuine emotions happen. Bridesmaids laughing over old memories, to a parent taking their child aka the bride or groom aside for a quiet moment. These unscipted moments deserve to have a place in your gallery.
There are specific parts of your day where the focus is on specific shots and perfectly posed photos, but the morning can be a time for the simplicity of authentic and candid moments.
I always love shooting the morning, happy tears, nervous excitement, champagne toasts with the girls, a grandmother giving advice, the father fixing the grooms tie, the flower girls watching the bride like she's a real princess, the groomsmen hyping each other up.
One of the best ways to ensure these memories are captured is to make sure you build a bit of extra time into your wedding morning. I promise waking a tiny bit earlier to have a slower more relaxed morning will be worth it. A slightly relaxed timeline for the start of the day allows you to be fully present instead of feeling rushed while moving through each task. The less rushed "getting ready" feels, the more authentic and heartfelt your photographs will be.
